Alrighty, so I had this idea. It's been playing in the back of my mind for awhile. Now that I have finished reading Twilight, I have nothing much else to occupy my time when I'm at home. Besides boring hw. And be honest, who wants to do that!?

...A comic/graphic novel...

Yeah yeah yeah. I knowwwww it's cliche. But you have to remember, plots are always unique.

I have no problem with making a rough idea of the story. I also have no problem with drawing (well sometimes). The only thing I dislike/cannot do well...is the shading and coloring/background fun. GAH gag me.

This is where whomever is interested in coloring/shading comes in! This feels kinda like a contest...dang. Oh well, let the contesting commence.

Basically, I'm looking for a "partner" if you will, to help me bring this idea to life. "but jaq, you haven't even told us what this is about" SHHHHH I'll get there.

I'm very opposed to making this horse-related, simply because there are quiet a few great horse comics/graphic novels out there at the moment. Secondly, I just don't feel like my idea of the plot would fall in very well with horses.

I was leaning more toward a wolf (le gasp) comic/gn. Hmmm how much more cliche can this get eh? Rest assure, I do know there are PLENTY of those out there as well. But this idea...it's just nagging. And it's saying "wolves" Yep, that's what it's saying. Can you hear it?

So anyhoo, I'm just curious to know who might be interested in doing this sort of "partner in crime" type of dealio.

HOW IT WOULD WORK:

I would create the plot (if you wish to assist with that, feel free to)...and draw out the comic portion of everything...Mind you, it will be done on regular paper with a pencil (scannage will be frequent). I would finish up the lines in PS (keep in mind that i would not have the convenient use of a pen tool...so they may not turn out all that great...but i can show a "hard copy" of a pair of lines if you'd like just so you know what I mean).

Then, I'd send the lines/page over to -partnernamehere- and they'd finish up with coloring and shading.


This is only for the purpose of enhancing your creativity. There'd really be no profit coming out of this. At least not from my end. It's just something I'd really like to see happen, and I'd like to share the experience with someone...someone who can bring the story to life through color(better than i can).

If any of that didn't make sense, let me know.

I realize I haven't said anything about the plot or any related issues. It's still up in the air. I have a very good idea for a beginning.

HOW I'LL CHOOSE

When I say I would like someone to do coloring and shading, I mean COLORING and SHADING. Not just bucket filling ya know? Cuz heck even I can do that haha.

If I get enough interest from this post, I'll put up some "sample" lines that you all can critique, get a good feel for what you'll be working with...and if you like, then you can go ahead and color them. Gosh this really is turning into a contest haha. I'll choose based on how the style interacts with the lines and how I feel the comic will look with that artists personal style. (:
